Drumeldrie visit Saturday 27 May 2023

About 40 members and guests enjoyed a visit and guided tour of Carrick, the home of ENFPS Treasurer David Jenkins and his wife Pam, at Drumeldrie near Upper Largo. A donation of the proceeds of ticket sales was made to David’s chosen charity, the Lower Largo Pier project.
Carrick Villa is located just off the Fife Coastal Path right down on the shore near Lower Largo, with this frontage looking out directly onto  Dunbarnie Links, Shell Bay and the Forth estuary.
David explained the history of the house before members were able to tour the  interior with its impressive artwork collections.
The afternoon concluded with members sharing in light refreshments on the terrace.
View from the front of the house with the Fife Coastal Path and the old Fife Coast railway line in the foreground and views across Dumbarnie Links, Shell Bay and the Forth estuary
Carrick’s grounds include a natural waterfall and pool and the remains of an old watermill which have been incorporated into a spectacular guest room, boatshed and workshop
